Santosh is a geoscientist by profession, an explorer with 18+ yrs of experience in 50+ countries. He did his masters in 'Exploration Geophysics' from B.H.U. and Doctorate in 'Applied Geophysics' from N.G.R.I. (C.S.I.R. laboratory) & Kurukshtetra University. Currently, he is working with 'PETRONAS Research' in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; where he is heading several scientific research projects. Earlier, he has worked with the global technology leaders in geophysics like CGG - Compagnie Generale de Geophysique (Paris, France) and Schlumberger (London, UK). Santosh has published several research papers in peer reviewed international journals.
Santosh also has keen interest in social development and has always been connected to his roots. He balances his time between the research projects and social work. He along with his father have been actively working on ground to improve the lives of people in India. His focus is on alleviating social malaise and addressing inequity through various education and health care initiatives.
Santosh is actively associated with PRATIBIMB Foundation. He is collaborating with the Foundation to bring qualitative change in the lives of underprivileged children, their families and the community at large. He is also advising the Foundation on various social interventions based on his extensive knowledge and experience.
Anup Kumar Avasthi MCA, NIT Jamshedpur. Senior Manager - Software Engineer, Walmart Labs, Bentonville,AR, USA Anup Kumar Avasthi, is software engineer by profession, completed his master degree from NIT Jamshedpur and executive management from IIM - Calcutta. He started his IT career from Bangalore and later moved to United States, working from more than a decade with multiple multinational companies. He believes in ethical practices to be followed in business and conduct his business in a transparent manner.
Anup's obsession with technology does not leave much free time but he relaxes and escapes through music, hiking and biking. He likes to explore all possible things in life. Child health and educations are the disciplines where his heart lies. He dreams of a world where children feel happy, healthy and safe. He is working towards creating such an environment around his neighborhood.
Indira is the senior professor of Azim Premji University, Bangalore. Indira served as a member of the Academics and Pedagogy group of Azim Premji Foundation. She headed the Teacher Preparation unit. Her work at the foundation was in the area of curriculum development and implementation of elementary teacher education programs in two states - Chattisgarh and Uttarakhand. In addition to this, Indira spear headed a two year quality improvement program in collaboration with a B. Ed college. Prior to joining the Foundation, she was a faculty member for the M.A. El. Ed program at TISS, where she developed and taught a course on Teacher Professional Development. Indira completed her doctoral studies at NIAS, Bangalore, where she undertook ethnographic research on the work of science teachers in different types of schools.
Nomita Sikand, studied BSc, Microbiology, and has been a middle school teacher for seven years. The MA in Education programme at Azim Premji University, strengthened her belief that quality learning is the right of every child; and a strong literacy programme is central to the ideas of equity. She consulted with Azim Premji University to design and implement an academic support program for students in the MA program, as part of the Student Support initiatives. She enjoys teaching and is involved with developing and implementing the English foundational programme for Gubbachi Connect and Gubbachi Proactive.
